WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT? This is a comfortable padded sling that is designed to be left under a person. The Chair Pad is the same as the Chair Pad. This is made with a strong, washable, breathable foam back, with a special top fabric that is designed with micro holes to allow perspiration to easily pass through to the breathable foam back. Click here to view the full range of Hoist Slings. WHO IS THIS PRODUCT SUITABLE FOR? This sling is suitable for someone who can be safely transferred, using a metal hook type hoist. BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Always ensure that the person’s head is on the top of the Pad and it will be supported when lifting in the reclined position. If lifting in a sitting position, the sling will not support the head. When lowering the person into the chair, make sure that they are sitting comfortably before disconnecting the webbing from the hoist. When the person is correctly placed in the chair, the webbing can be unhooked from the hoist. The surplus sling material can be neatly tucked alongside the person for easy access when needed to lift them out of the chair. Log roll the person when back in bed to remove the sling. Fold the sling along the stitching when log rolling to remove it. On the back of the sling, there is non-slip Miracle Grip material. This is to hold the sling in place when the person is sitting in the chair, so the material does not slip down behind their back or crease up under their legs and bottom. After a long time the Miracle Grip will wear down, if the sling is constantly rubbing on the chair when lowering and lifting the person.
