WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT? The Premier Lifting Sling is a full body patient Sling with soft padded split legs and a padded head support. The sizes vary from Small Child to Bariatric size, including the medium wide size for most patients that need extra width around the hips. A variety of materials are available (see Technical tab). Full body Head support Split legs Lying, reclined or sitting upright positions Instructions on Sling label Note: The head section is designed to hold the head when in the reclined position. If lifting in the sitting upright mode, it is possible to place a pillow behind the patient’s head, or the Sling Neck Support. This is a split leg Sling, but for double amputees, including above the knee amputees, can be lifted safely using the number 1 or number 2 leg loops. As the person is lifted, they will be in a semi-standing position, with more pressure in the groin and not be slipping backwards out of the Sling, which is a common problem with amputees. The Premier Lifting Sling can also be used in Hammock Style for double amputees, depending on the length of the leg stump. Click here to view the full range of Hoist Slings.
